This past weekend a cousin of my husband got married. Two of my girls were asked to be flower girls. I haven't been to a wedding in over 10 years, and my kids have never been to one. It was fun to be part of one. The wedding was out of state, so we went up on Friday afternoon. That night they had rehearsal and then we all went to the rehearsal dinner. The next morning the girls had to be at the beauty salon at 8 a.m. We got up at 6:15 and ate the hotel's complementary breakfast; then drove to the town the salon was in (during a pretty good thunderstorm). I might add that Friday morning I woke up sick and felt horrible the whole weekend... but I made it thru :-) For Elizabeth's hair it took over an hour and at least 78 bobbie pins! Then they started on Rebekah's hair; it took a little under an hour. They looked so beautiful! It was fascinating for me to see how they took all that hair and made it into a bunch of beautiful curls that lasted the whole day!
The wedding was beautiful and besides the mother of the bride having problems lighting a candle and a brides maid passing out, it all went wonderful!
